The Widdifield Wildcats jumped out to an early lead in the NDA senior boys basketball standings during the showcase weekend at West Ferris Secondary School.
The Cats (6-2) capped off the weekend with a 58-46 victory Saturday over the Franco-Cite Patriotes, using a 24-point third quarter to seal the win.
Eric Bowman had 20 points to lead Widdifield and Alex Bernardi added 13.
Nico Proulx and Miguel Plante both had 16 points for Franco-Cite (1-6).
Earlier in the day, Bowman had 22 points and Bernardi had 18 to lead the Wildcats to a 58-51 victory over the Chippewa Raiders.
The Raiders (2-4) got 14 points each from twins Jack and Ryan Daley.
On Friday, the Cats beat the Northern Braves 60-35.
